TENTH BELGRADE WATER EXHIBITION AND FORUM CLOSED

The 10th Water Exhibition and Forum was successfully completed on November 16, 2018. In Belexpo center in Novi Beograd, Serbia, the three-day manifestation brought together more than 120 exhibitors, representatives of domestic and foreign producers, industry, distributors of equipment, tools and chemicals, international and domestic institutions, organizations and associations, scientific institutions, design companies, water management companies, public utility companies etc., out of which more than 40 from abroad.
The water exhibition and forum has yet again confirmed the importance of international and regional cooperation for capacity development whose goal is to improve the water sector. The exhibition and the international scientific and technical conference are jointly organized by Association for Water Technology and Sanitary Engineering and Belexpo Company and supported by Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Serbia, Waterworks and Sewerage Association of Serbia, GIZ, World Bank, IWA, IAWD, DVGW and others.
In parallel to the exhibition, the Water Forum 2018 was held at Holiday Inn Hotel in Novi Beograd, with the title “Water sector- System Resilience and Sustainability” and it gathered prominent international and domestic experts. The professional papers of young water professionals and future experts were presented on the third day of the Forum, and UTVSI with the support of the Danube Water Program for representatives of middle and small water supply utilities organized a three-day workshop on safe drinking water supply in crisis situations as basics of business continuity for disaster management. During this event, an additional promotion of the project Asset Management Advisory Services to Water Utilities in South-Eastern Europe, UTVSI has held with the support of the GIZ and Hydrocomp company, a part of the project which has been implemented in Serbia, Macedonia and Montenegro. In order to support application of new DCM platform, also a project in the framework of the Danube Water Program, as a web- based data collection and management tool for water supply and wastewater utility companies in Serbia, UTVSI also realized a one- day training for representatives of these companies.
